Dutch Gap Canal and Group of Soldiers. Taken after the bank was blown out. On the extreme end of a portion of the bank remains, which forms a profile, which the soldiers call Jeff Davis. -- Gun boats Undela and Maume, James River, Va. -- Together, 2 stereoviews on cardstock mounts (each with toning and some splotching/discoloration; light wear and soiling to mounts). Anthony's imprint and series title printed on rectos along with applied paper captions. Versos with Anthony's applied paper label including, among other information, image number and extended captions.
